Another great result for our athlete Matteo Iachino, a standout performer at the IFCA Grand Slam Slalom Worlds in Leucate (FRA), where he secured an outstanding second place in the foil discipline.
A result of absolute value in an extremely high-level international field, confirming the consistency and solidity of Iachino’s performances. Making the achievement even more significant is his fifth-place finish in the fin category, demonstrating his remarkable versatility and competitiveness at the highest level in both slalom disciplines.
The challenging and variable conditions at the French venue tested all the athletes, making the result even more noteworthy and highlighting our athlete’s experience and adaptability.
Matteo will now remain in Leucate on standby ahead of the Speed World Championships, also scheduled to take place in French waters. Subsequently, the focus will shift to planning the 2026 PWA World Tour circuit, which will see him competing in the Grand Slam events in Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Sylt, and at the Japan World Cup in Yokosuka.
