The Yacht Club Italiano Racing Team brings together young athletes engaged in a structured and continuous sporting path. Active in the Optimist, ILCA, 420, Windsurf, J/70, and Kitefoil classes, the team takes part in national and international regattas throughout the year. Over time, this training journey has led to numerous qualifications for Italian, European, World, and Olympic Championships.

Smeralda 888 International Championship

An outstanding result for our Club member Nicolò Saidelli, who claimed victory aboard Bloody Mathilde in the final event of the 2026 Smeralda 888 International Championship, organised by the Yacht Club de Monaco.

An impressive performance by Saidelli and his crew, who were among the frontrunners from the opening races and secured six victories in the eight races sailed, finishing the event with just eight points overall after discarding their worst result.

The victory in Monegasque waters enabled Bloody Mathilde to secure third place overall in the Smeralda 888 International Championship, contested over six events held in Monaco, Alassio, Saint-Tropez and Porto Cervo.

The 2026 title went to Marco Favale at the helm of Millenium Falcon, ahead of Charles de Bourbon des Deux Siciles aboard Vamos Mi Amor, who finished second overall.
