30° Trofeo SIAD Bombola D'Oro 5° Dinghy 12’ World Cup Coppa Roberto Sestini

2027 will be a special year for the Trofeo SIAD Bombola d’Oro, as it celebrates its 30th edition and will also serve as the Dinghy 12’ World Cup. From 21 to 23 May, the waters off Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino will welcome a large fleet of Dinghy 12’ boats, with helmsmen from across Italy and abroad competing in one of the most important events of the Class season.
The 30th anniversary edition will carry even greater significance as it coincides with the centenary of SIAD, the Trofeo’s long-standing partner, which has been closely associated with the event since its inception. This edition will therefore bring together two stories: that of the Bombolino, created in 1996 from an idea by Roberto Sestini and since established as an unmissable fixture for the Dinghy community, and that of SIAD, which celebrates 100 years of activity in 2027.
For three days, the Gulf of Tigullio will provide the stage for close and highly competitive racing between Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure. The Dinghies will compete in the VTR and Classic categories, showcasing different interpretations of a class that has retained its distinctive appeal over the years, combining the rigour of competition with the tradition and simplicity of sailing.
