The Yacht Club Italiano Racing Team brings together young athletes engaged in a structured and continuous sporting path. Active in the Optimist, ILCA, 420, Windsurf, J/70, and Kitefoil classes, the team takes part in national and international regattas throughout the year. Over time, this training journey has led to numerous qualifications for Italian, European, World, and Olympic Championships.

Coppa Italia GP – Wing Foil

Sport Events

The Coppa Italia GP – Wing Foil event took place on 19 and 20 September in the waters off Voltri, organised as part of the collaboration between the Yacht Club Italiano and Tramontana Voltri Surf.

The two days of racing were characterised by northerly Tramontana winds of up to 20 knots, allowing a total of 14 races to be completed.

The event saw a strong presence from our athletes. Luca Franchi claimed first place overall after an impressively consistent series, finishing ahead of Gioele Incani of Eolo Beach Sports and Jacopo Martini of Centro Velico Piombinese.

Our athletes also achieved excellent results in the individual categories: Alessio Lulli took first place in the U21 category, followed by Matteo Crovetto in second, while Alberto Bozzo secured first place in the U15 category.

Another strong result for our athletes in the foiling disciplines and a further success for our collaboration with Tramontana Voltri Surf.
