Italian title for Manuela V at the Multi Nations Championship 5.5m S.I., held in Malcesine and also counting as the Italian 5.5m S.I. Class Championship.
In a fleet of 21 boats, Manuela V finished 11th overall and was the top-ranked Italian boat, thereby securing the title of Italian 5.5m S.I. Champion.
The crew included our Club Member Guido Tommasi, together with Matteo Barison and Filippo Togni.
The result is particularly significant in light of the history of Manuela V (ITA-36) and her long-standing connection with the Yacht Club Italiano. Launched in 1961 by the Velscaf shipyard in Rapallo and designed by American naval architect C. Raymond Hunt, she was commissioned by Beppe Croce, former President of the Yacht Club Italiano and a leading figure in international sailing.
Today, with Guido Tommasi, Manuela V continues her long and distinguished racing history, adding another Italian title to her record of achievements.
