Italian J70 Championship

An excellent result for our Club Members Matteo Capurro and Filippo Vulcanile, who delivered a strong performance at the Italian J/70 Championship, held in Porto Cervo from 2 to 4 October. Sailing aboard CAIM Jeniale, they secured second place overall after eight races.

The crew, completed by Massimo Rama, Matteo Ferretti and Francesca Di Gangi, remained in contention for the Italian title right up to the final race. Heading into the last day just two points behind the leaders, they ended the championship with a victory in the final race, drawing level on points with Mauro Roversi’s J Curve.

The title was therefore decided on countback, with J Curve crowned Italian Champion and CAIM Jeniale taking second place. Yann Inghilesi’s Ciclone completed the podium.

The final regatta of the season also brought the J/70 Cup to a close, with CAIM Jeniale, featuring our Club Members on board, finishing second overall in the series, once again behind J Curve.
