Founded in Genoa in 1879, Yacht Club Italiano is one of the oldest sailing clubs in the Mediterranean. With over 1,000 members, the Club has long been a leading presence in the world of international sailing.
Yacht Club Italiano is an organization that hosts sporting events of all kinds and levels, both national and international—ranging from dinghies and Olympic classes to vintage yachts and modern maxis.
The Beppe Croce Sailing School is the structure through which Yacht Club Italiano, as a CONI–FIV recognized Sports Initiation Center, organizes sailing courses for children from the age of 6, as well as for teenagers and adults.
The Yacht Club Italiano Racing Team brings together young athletes engaged in a structured and continuous sporting path. Active in the Optimist, ILCA, 420, Windsurf, J/70, and Kitefoil classes, the team takes part in national and international regattas throughout the year. Over time, this training journey has led to numerous qualifications for Italian, European, World, and Olympic Championships.
