MILLEVELE IREN 2026

Millevele IREN returns on Saturday, September 12, the major sailing event organized by Yacht Club Italiano.

Registration is now open for Millevele IREN 2026, the traditional sailing event organized by Yacht Club Italiano, which will bring hundreds of boats to the Gulf of Genoa on Saturday, September 12, for one of the most anticipated events of the sailing season.

The 2026 edition will once again follow its well-established format, bringing together boat owners, crews and sailing enthusiasts for a day dedicated to sailing and life at sea, with different courses according to boat length.

The Sailing Event

The start is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at 11:00 a.m.

The event will take place in the Gulf of Genoa, between Lido di Albaro and Punta Chiappa, with three fixed-mark courses for Groups A (Red), B (Green) and C (Yellow).

Depending on weather and sea conditions, and for safety reasons, the Organizing Committee may adopt a shortened course, as specified in the Notice of Event.

Registration

The event is open to all monohull boats with a length overall (LOA) of at least 5.95 metres, divided into the categories specified in the Notice of Event.

Registration must be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, using the registration form available on the Yacht Club Italiano website.

Thursday, September 10

Opening of the Event Office and distribution of the Sailing Instructions, identification stickers and official event merchandise at the Yacht Club Italiano Race Office.

Friday, September 11

Finalization of registrations.

Saturday, September 12

11:00 a.m. – Start of Millevele IREN 2026.

Important Information

In the event of an orange or red weather alert, the event may be rescheduled to Sunday, September 13, under the same conditions.

Results and Awards

Millevele IREN will be sailed on an elapsed-time basis, with separate rankings for each category and the Millevele Trophy awarded to the winners of Groups A, B and C.

Additional awards specified in the Notice of Event will also be presented, including the Coppa Bartolomeo Boero, IREN Utility Cup, Millevele Classic, YCI Heritage Trophy and Confindustria Nautica Award.
