Yacht Club Italiano Members have achieved another significant result on the Melges 24 circuit. At the Melges Reunion in Riva del Garda, the seventh event of the 2026 Melges 24 European Sailing Series, Melgina, owned by Paolo Brescia and with Club Member Filippo Vulcanile among the crew, claimed victory in the Corinthian division, while finishing an impressive 7th overall in a fleet of 30 teams from across Europe and North America.
The event also counted towards the Italian Melges 24 Championship – Trofeo Gaudì, where Melgina secured the 2026 Corinthian Italian Championship title, in addition to finishing 3rd overall in the national standings.
The crew was completed by Under-25 World Champions Lorenzo and Leonardo Centuori, together with Giancarlo Borghero.
The team's next challenge will be the Melges 24 European Championship, scheduled to take place in Tønsberg, Norway, from 29 August to 4 September.
