The 2026 edition of the Regate di Primavera, organized by us, has successfully concluded. From May 1st to 3rd, a fleet of 21 yachts returned to the Gulf of Tigullio, competing over three days of racing marked by particularly favorable conditions.
After an opening day in ideal conditions with a westerly wind and an extended coastal course of approximately 10 miles, the second day saw the fleet engaged in a longer race of up to 16 miles, stretching along the Portofino promontory. On the final day, a light southeasterly breeze accompanied the fleet along an approximately 8-mile coastal course, with the start postponed to 11:30 following a general recall.
Overall victory at the Regate di Primavera Portofino 2026 went to ARCA SGR, the 100-footer helmed by 18-year-old Marta Benussi, in the Open class, and to Mistral Gagnant, Marco Ferrero’s Solaris 50, in the IRC class. Completing the podiums were Moonshine and Itacentodue, the Felci 61 owned by our member Adriano Calvini, in the Open class, and Twin Soul B and Nice in the IRC class.
The IRC overall winner also claimed the Comune di Portofino Trophy and the B&G special prize, while the Mylius Cup 2026 was awarded to Schorch, owned by Alois Neukirchen.
There was also strong participation in the onshore events, including the crew party at Villa Durazzo, a cocktail at the Club’s summer headquarters hosted by Banca Passadore, and the owners’ dinner at DaV Mare at Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel.
“This edition comes to a close having delivered three wonderful days in the Gulf of Tigullio, with particularly favorable conditions and strong participation,” commented President Carlo Cameli.
A heartfelt thank you goes to all owners, crews, partners, and staff for their commitment and for the excellent organization both on the water and ashore, which contributed to the success of the event.
