An Intense Summer for Our Optimist and 420 Athletes, Between Regattas, Championships, and International Events
It has been a summer full of challenges and achievements for the Club’s young athletes, competing in prestigious national and international events in the Optimist and 420 classes.
The Optimist team – Burlando, Cavalleroni, Orlandini, Postiglione, and Vulcanile – proudly represented the Club at the Italian Team Championship in Cagliari, securing an excellent 7th place overall. A result that rewards their teamwork and the constant dedication shown by these young sailors.
Meanwhile, the 420 team embarked on a true international tour: in early July they competed at the World Championship in Turkey, where the crews Cindolo-Valente, Donà-Dogliotti, and Cuocolo-Trillo all qualified for the gold fleet, while Cenci-Verdi distinguished themselves in the silver fleet. Shortly after, Cindolo-Valente and Donà-Dogliotti took part in the Junior European Championship in Portugal, once again earning their place in the gold fleet.
These experiences have been essential, allowing our athletes to measure themselves against some of the best international crews, while growing both technically and competitively.
