34th NATIONAL INTERCLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
The 2025 edition of the Interclub Championship, now in its 34th year, came to a close this past weekend. The event, dedicated to offshore sailing and organized by the Interclub Committee, saw our Member Adelio Frixione triumph in the ORC-REGATA category with a significant lead over the other teams, sailing aboard his X-35 Imxtinente. Congratulations to Adelio for once again bringing pride to our burgee!

THE GENTLEMEN CHALLENGE 2025
The fifth edition of The Gentlemen Challenge took place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April. The regatta, sailed on J/70 boats, was organized by Società del Casino and Yacht Club Italiano, with the participation of the following clubs:

  • Circolo al Teatro – Accademia degli Erranti di Brescia
  • Circolo Artistico Tunnel
  • Società del Casino
  • Clubino
  • Società del Giardino
  • Circolo dell’Unione di Firenze
  • Circolo dell’Unione di Milano
  • Società del Whist – Accademia Filarmonica

Participants and their guests, hailing from various Italian cities, enjoyed a weekend in Genoa centered on sportsmanship and camaraderie, values deeply cherished by the organizing and participating Clubs.
After 10 races over two days in a beautiful spring setting of sun and sea, first place was claimed by Team 1 of Società del Whist (Luca Antonetto, Marco Cravario, Guido Reyneri, Raimondo Testa); second place went to the team from Circolo Artistico Tunnel (Carlo Cameli, Enrico Scopesi, Renato Rovida, Luca Trabattoni); and third place to Team 1 of Società del Casino (Vittorio Costa di Albenga, Giuseppe Croce Bermondi, Francesco Lagorio Serra, Umberto Zerba Pagella).

YACHT CLUB ITALIANO & YACHT CLUB SANTO STEFANO
New Reciprocal Agreement
On Saturday, April 5, a new reciprocal agreement was signed between Yacht Club Italiano and Yacht Club Santo Stefano, by Presidents Carlo Cameli and Piero Chiozzi, the latter present at YCI on the occasion of the AIVE assembly. This marks the 36th club with which we have established reciprocity.

Like our Club, Yacht Club Santo Stefano is a sports association founded with the aim of promoting sailing and spreading the knowledge and practice of nautical sports in its reference area, the Argentario.
The Club is headquartered at Villa Cortesini, on the Pozzarello headland. The Clubhouse overlooks the sea from a panoramic position above the Gulf of Porto Santo Stefano, one of Italy’s finest racing venues.

YCSS organizes regattas—including Pasquavela and the Argentario Sailing Week—and participates in sea-related events, also through partnerships with other associations committed to promoting sailing in the Argentario region.
It also offers educational activities for learning, updating, and perfecting sailing skills through the “Renzo Vongher” Sailing School, affiliated with the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) since 1961.
