The third and final 420 national regatta of the season — valid for qualification to the upcoming World and European Championships — concluded last weekend in Trieste.
After the events in Anzio, Cagliari, and finally Trieste, with a total of 22 races held in a wide range of conditions, the final ranking list of the circuit has been established, determining the teams that will represent Italy at the upcoming championships.
Four YCI crews have qualified for the 420 World Championship in Turkey, to be held July 1–9 in the waters of Urla:
- Cindolo–Valente
- Donà–Dogliotti
- Cuoccolo–Trillo
- Cenci–Porcile
Later in the summer, from July 20 to 28, the Junior European Championship will take place in Porto, Portugal, for which two YCI teams have qualified:
- Cindolo–Valente
- Donà–Dogliotti
