Over the past weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting at the Club The Gentlemen Challenge, the inter-club regatta organized in collaboration with the Società del Casino.
Over three days, we welcomed crews from 12 teams coming from all over Italy, who appreciated both the facilities and the organization, ashore and at sea.
The event was held using the Club’s fleet of 8 J/70s. During the races, characterized by high-pressure conditions, it was possible to complete the full program thanks to a light Scirocco that accompanied the competition. The racing was close and exciting, enhanced by short, tight courses and a strongly competitive spirit, supported by effective on-the-water umpiring.
After 12 races, the final standings saw Società del Whist take first place, followed by Circolo degli Scacchi. Completing the podium in third place was Circolo della Caccia.
The event once again confirms itself as a key fixture in the inter-club racing calendar, successfully combining competition and conviviality.
Next year’s edition has already been confirmed, with the aim of continuing the event’s growth and consolidation.
The next event on the calendar is the Regate di Primavera Portofino, scheduled to take place in Portofino from April 30th to May 3rd.
