Yacht Club Italiano's Optimist team achieved an important milestone during the regional qualification regattas held in Andora and Chiavari.
In the Junior division, an outstanding 10 sailors secured qualification for the FIV Italian Youth Single-Handed Championships, filling 10 of the 13 available places. The championship will take place in Marina di Ravenna and Porto Corsini from 27 August to 1 September.
Excellent results were also recorded in the Cadet division, where four Yacht Club Italiano sailors earned qualification for the 2026 Coppa Primavela, scheduled to be held in Gaeta from 2 to 4 July.
These results once again highlight the excellent work being carried out by the Club's Youth Sailing Programme. Congratulations to all our young sailors, and special thanks to their coaches, Mattia Bellico and Matteo Mulone, whose commitment and professionalism continue to support their sporting development every day.
