Campionati Italiani Giovanili

The Italian Youth Single-Handed Championships concluded in Ravenna after taking place from August 26 to September 1, bringing together Italy’s best young sailors across five classes.

The Yacht Club Italiano was represented in the Optimist and ILCA classes by 13 young athletes, supported by coaches Mattia Bellico for the Optimist team and Federico Leardini for the ILCA team. The Championships provided an important opportunity to compete at the highest national level, as well as a valuable racing and development experience in their sporting journey.

Our youth teams’ activities now continue in Manfredonia, where the Italian Youth Double-Handed Championships are taking place from September 5 to 10, one of the most important events on the national youth sailing calendar.

The Yacht Club Italiano is competing in the 420 class with three crews, supported by coach Alessio Bellico, as they take on Italy’s leading young teams in the battle for the Italian Junior titles.
