Founded in Genoa in 1879, Yacht Club Italiano is the oldest sailing club in Italy. With its historic headquarters in the Porticciolo Duca degli Abruzzi and a summer club house in Portofino, the Club has always focused on promoting yachting and organizing regattas, including the Loro Piana Giraglia, Millevele IREN, and Regate di Primavera – Portofino. Sporting activities take place throughout the year, involving boats of all classes. At the heart of its educational mission is the Scuola di Mare Beppe Croce, which guides children from the age of 6, teenagers, and adults on a journey of technical and personal growth, instilling passion, skills, and a deep respect for the sea.
Yacht Club Italiano, through it's Scuola di Mare Beppe Croce, a Sports Training Center recognized by CONI and FIV, offers sailing courses year-round for children from the age of 6, teenagers, and adults. Courses are held on dinghies such as Optimist, 420, ILCA-Laser, collective boats like the J70 and the 43’ one-design, as well as the innovative Wing Foil. Each course is designed to teach technique, passion, and respect for the sea in a safe and stimulating environment. In addition to group courses, tailor-made individual programs are also available, ideal for those seeking a personalized learning path based on their own needs and experience.
