THE CLUB
In 2018, the Yacht Club Italiano established YCI Heritage, a registry dedicated to the boats that, flying the YCI burgee, have made yachting history. Innovative hulls, designed by legendary names such as Herreshoff, Stephens, and Carter, challenged the conventions of naval architecture with elegance, creativity, and a pioneering spirit.
Many owners, captivated by these technical and aesthetic challenges, brought to life boats that are unique in their lines, materials, and proportions.
With YCI Heritage, the Club aims to enhance the value of this often-forgotten floating heritage, recognizing its cultural, nautical, and design significance. It is a tribute to tradition, with an eye firmly set on the future.
Among the boats already registered: Benbow (1973), Rabbit (1965), Nyala (1938), Linnet (1905), Kookaburra II (1987), Samurai (1962), and Valentina VI (1975).
