The village of Portofino and the Yacht Club Italiano will once again kick off the 2024 sailing season for large yachts with the return of the Regate di Primavera Portofino this May. For this edition, alongside the YCI, partners Belmond and Banca Passadore will support the event. The regattas will be open to all yachts over 50 feet, following the successful invitation-only formula that attracts some of the most prestigious shipyards, including CNB Yachts, ICE Yachts, Nautor Swan, and Solaris Yachts.
Regate di Primavera Portofino will officially begin on Thursday, May 2nd, with the arrival of the boats and registration procedures. The yachts will be berthed at Portofino Yacht Marina until space runs out, then at the Port of Santa Margherita Ligure. Racing action will start on Friday, May 3rd with the first race and will conclude on Sunday, May 5th with the final race and awards ceremony. Once again, the event highlights the strong connection between the territory and the sport of sailing, as well as the Gulf of Tigullio, where the YCI has been organizing regattas since the late 19th century and has maintained its summer base since 1965.
