The course will take place in Genoa at the Beppe Croce Sea School over two days, and the full program will be covered in accordance with the World Sailing Special Regulations (formerly ISAF).
It will be taught by Paolo Vianson, a World Sailing trainer, and an instructor and trainer for the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV).
At the end of the course, after passing the test, participants will receive a certification valid for 5 years, which is required to take part in Category 0, 1, and 2 races.
Participants are recommended to bring suitable clothing for the in-water abandon-ship drill (foul-weather gear, boots, and any other appropriate clothing).
During the lunch breaks on Saturday and Sunday, a pasta lunch will be served at the Beppe Croce Sea School.
The cost of the course is €300 all inclusive.
The cost to renew the certification (after 5 years) is €230.
Anyone who wishes to test their own self-inflating life jacket may bring it.
