Sailing courses for adults
Our courses are also open to non-members of the Club.
This course offers an immersive one-week offshore sailing experience aboard a 19-meter yacht. Designed as a true training cruise, it allows participants to experience onboard life while deepening all aspects of yacht handling and management in real sailing conditions, through a practical and progressive approach.
The course aims to train participants in the complete management of offshore cruising aboard a 19-meter yacht. Throughout the week, participants will gain practical and theoretical skills in both sailing and motor navigation, passage planning, onboard life management, and weather analysis. The goal is to develop autonomy, awareness, and teamwork skills in a real sailing environment.
The course runs over one week, from Sunday to Saturday, onboard the Grampus C&C 61’. The program is structured as a training cruise, during which participants rotate through different onboard roles, both under sail and engine. Led by Giuseppe Damante, FIV Level II Offshore Instructor and federation trainer, the course covers all aspects of offshore cruising: boat preparation, passage planning, and weather analysis. The yacht is equipped with state-of-the-art B&G navigation instruments to ensure safety and efficiency. The course runs with a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 8 participants.
Participants must hold a valid FIV membership for the current year, including a valid medical certificate. They are also required to bring appropriate clothing for the expected weather conditions, personal hygiene items, and—if staying overnight on board—a pillowcase and a sleeping bag.
The course is intended for those who wish to acquire or consolidate experience in offshore cruising, improving their ability to manage a large yacht in a real sailing environment.
