Charta Smeralda

In October 2017 the Yacht Club Italiano became the third signatory to the Charta Smeralda, the Code of Conduct adopted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, which defines ethical principles and rules of conduct to safeguard the marine environment.  By signing the document, the Yacht Club Italiano has given an undertaking to share and disseminate the cultural, ethical and behavioural principles underpinning the Charta.  The message being conveyed is crucial for the defence of the sea and the YCI will do its utmost to promote marine pollution awareness among its Members, ship and boat owners, and all sailors taking part in regattas organized by the Club.
